Media excuses for Israel apartheid are disgusting

Global media is falling over itself to excuse Israeli apartheid in Palestine, yet they hypocritically support Ukraine against Russia.
Right, so the Palestinian plight at the hands of the apartheid state of Israel is back in the news, but as always the framing of it is completely one sided, historically ignorant and frankly inexcusable. We condemn Russia for invading Ukraine, but the same has been happening for far longer in the Middle East, so why is it we’re picking and choosing whether to side with the oppressed or the oppressor in both cases, making the entire Western world look like a bunch of hypocrites? What our mainstream talking heads should be asking is why the escalation by Palestine and Hamas now and the simple, short answer is, you’ve ignored them whilst trying to find a peaceful resolution, but now they’ve got your attention. In brutal terms that’s what it has taken for the wider world to once again look at this situation in the Middle East that has rumbled on actually for well over a century and isn’t going to end without some kind of peaceful intervention, but when the global community are positioning themselves on one side of this and the wrong side of it at that, what hope have they got unless more of us start to call it out for what it is?
Right, so first and foremost I want to begin by briefly going over the history of how things have got to where they are, but I can’t do that without first making it abundantly clear, that all the harm caused and the lives lost in this most recent course of events by both sides must be condemned and I absolutely do, it’s a sad state of affairs however that things have got to this stage before people pay attention to what is happening there and if anyone at this point goes ‘yeah but do you condemn Hamas?’ You’re being led by the nose by our pathetic press and don’t appear to be capable of a critical thought of your own, you probably need to watch this video more than most.
OK, so back in the 1880’s Zionist Jewish settlers began settling in Palestine and by the early 1900’s were a fairly significant political movement and after the Balfour Declaration in 1917, became all the more so with British support them for the establishment of a Jewish state within Palestine, so we here in the UK have a significant role in what happened then right up to what is happening now. Tensions rose and by 1947 the UN pushed for partition in Palestine, establishing two states, one for Arabs and one for Jews. The Jewish leaders accepted this, the Palestinians rejected it because they felt it unjust and would result in them being displaced from their own lands.
