All mudfossils preserve due to LONG LONG wet cycle which semi stabilizes organics due to transition metal complexes INVADING and bonding to the tissues. This is the MINERALIZATION phase....Once dried out they are stone. Opals and Agatized plants are also mudfossils but were preserved in wet BLOOD not just MUD. Transition metals in blood are the key to such magnificent anatomical EXACT fossils.
