Claudia Goldin reacts to Nobel economics prize

American economic historian Claudia Goldin won the 2023 Nobel economics prize for "having advanced our understanding of women's labor market outcomes," the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences said on Monday (October 9). Goldin told Reuters that, when she awoke early this morning, she planned to ask her husband to look up which economist was awarded the prize - not yet knowing she was the chosen laureate.
