“If you remove enough farmers to save the planet, you might not have any food. So, that's what we're trying to avoid—having another Great Leap Forward situation.”

Roman Balmakov is a reporter at The Epoch Times, where he hosts the show “Facts Matter.” He is also the director and presenter of a new Epoch TV documentary: “No Farmers No Food.”

“What I really want to do with this documentary is equip people with a language and a nuanced view of things, so that when they hear a politician speak or they hear a news report or some kind of policy being proposed, they go, ‘Wait a minute, I think I know what's behind this. I think I know what this language really means, and I think I know where this leads to,’” says Mr. Balmakov.

We discuss United Nations Agenda 2030, how it is impacting farmers throughout the world, and its corresponding plans in the United States on both the state and federal levels.

“One of the biggest manifestations in the U.S. is something called Agenda 30x30. And this is the plan to put 30 percent of our land into conservation by the year 2030,” says Mr. Balmakov. “It's underway. It was implemented by the Biden administration six days after he took office. And he's allocating something like $900 million per year for the BLM—the Bureau of Land Management—to go out and to either acquire this land or to have farmers and landowners put conservation easements on that land.”
