Location: Kasi Vishwanathar Temple, Avalnatham Village, Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu.

Kasi Viswanathar Avalnatham is an east-facing cave temple. The Shiva Lingam along with the goddess and a Vinayaka Idol is in the sanctum sanctorum which is a large rock. The Nandi here is considered important and is said to be a swayambu, probably discovered covered in the earth. On the hill on the south side of the temple is a small Muruga Shrine. There is a well here with excellent water. The temple tank here is said to be fed by a perennial spring and is a little way behind the temple. Water from this tank also flows inside the adjoining small tank where people take a dip holding onto the chain above. There is a Vinayaka shrine adjoining this tank. Kasi Viswanathar Avalnatham is located wonderfully below a large hill in the south.

Kasi Viswanathar Avalnatham is an old temple. The officiating priest states that it is about 900 years old and goes back to the Chola Period, but no evidence or historical information to confirm this is available as of now.
