Birmingham City have confirmed they have parted company with first team Head Coach John Eustace.
Wayne Rooney has been heavily linked with the post having left his role with DC United over the weekend.
Eustace leaves St. Andrews after just 15 months in charge, having taken over in July 2022.
In his first season in charge, he helped stabilise the club, guiding them to a 17th-place finish, and leaves them with the club sitting in sixth place after 11 games.
In an official club statement, the club thanked Eustace for his work and added:
“A new First Team Manager will be announced in the coming days who will be responsible for creating an identity and clear ‘no fear’ playing style that all Birmingham City teams will adopt and embrace.”
