TRYING TO BE A STEP DAD IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY

I'm not saying the child has to be perfect..., but this is what I am saying.
I've been with this child for a little over a year, and he still can't get use to me? He was only 1 years old so I know he has to be getting taught bad behavior, maybe from relatives. It doesn't look good. I don't even want to go out with this kid to a store or anywhere. He once broke away and ran out into the Highway, boy was that his lucky day his mother was quick, but she blamed me🥺I don't have eyes behind my back.
