A 70 Year Old's Pikes Peak Marathon 2023 success story

I had a good day during the 4th big challenge of my "Summer of 70" race series. I was surprised to see that I had finished ahead of almost 200 entrants. That seems like an accomplishment as I had my 70th birthday in July and the other competitors in the Pikes Peak Marathon are above average runners as they had to qualified just to toe the starting line and almost everyone was younger the this old timer. Feels good to be getting my running back because I started this journey over 4 years ago, when I weighed 80lbs. more than now, and could only run 1 minute at a time on flat ground.
