The first deputy premier and Minister for East African Affairs, Rebecca Kadaga says women’s emancipation is a collective responsibility of society.
She proposed the inclusion of human rights issues in the education curriculum to instill awareness of these rights in children from a young age.
In an interview with UBC Kadaga attributes failure to achieve gender equality to patriarchal society influence that hinders their pursuit for emancipation.
