Making paneer from milk at home
Hi everyone! Today, I am going to share with you a quick and easy recipe for making paneer from milk at home. Paneer is a creamy and delicious cheese that is perfect for sandwiches, salads, and other dishes. So, let's get started with the recipe!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of skimmed milk
- 1/2 cup of plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup of grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1/4 tsp of black pepper
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, heat the skimmed milk over medium heat.
2. Add the grated cheese and stir until it melts completely.
3. Add the black pepper and salt to the milk and stir well.
4. Let the mixture cool down for a few minutes.
5. Pour the mixture into a cheese cloth and press it firmly using your hands to extract the maximum amount of milk possible.
6. Repeat the process of squeezing the milk until the cheese cloth is empty.
7. Put the cheese cloth in a container and refrigerate the extracted milk for at least 30 minutes.
8. After 30 minutes, remove the cheese cloth and put it in a blender.
9. Add the plain yogurt to the blender and blend the mixture until it becomes smooth.
10. Put the paneer mixture back in the container and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes to let it firm up.
Voila! You have now made your own paneer from milk at home. Enjoy!
