🌊 LIBYA: Another North African country fell victim to a climatic cerberus. Tropical Cyclone Danielle became Africa's deadliest storm on record. By September 15, the death toll exceeded 11,000. On that fateful night, many people were swept out to sea by the huge torrent of water. Nearly 100,000 are still missing.

FLOODS
🔹 On September 16, videos of flooded houses and streets of the city of Cape Town in South Africa appeared online. Strong coastal waves carried several cars into the ocean.
🔹 A little more than a week passed and in the Western Cape province there was a second flood, more powerful, it took at least 8 people’s lives.
🔹 Also, heavy rains took lives in the northwest of Algeria and flooded the District of Accra in Ghana.

🔹 On September 29, the sudden flooding caused chaos in New York the streets, with water flowing into homes and vehicles at an incredible rate.
🔹 There are at least seven casualties and nine others went missing after a river in the Mexican state of Jalisco overflowed its banks due to heavy rains.
🔹 Also, heavy downpours flooded the Guatemalan capital and surrounding municipalities. The disaster has taken at least six lives, with more than 10 people reported missing.
🔹 In early September, some regions of Panama and Paraguay were flooded.
🔹 In Brazil, the flooding was among the deadliest disasters in the country. There were more than 40 casualties in the southern states of Rio Grande do Sul and Sainte Catarina.
🔹 From September 2 to 4, storm system Dana brought incessant rain to most of Spain. Casualties and missing people were reported.
🔹 Storm cyclone "Danielle" brought thundery downpours to the territory of Greece. Entire villages turned into lakes.

TORNADOES

💠 On September 2 in Kakheti, Georgia, heavy hail destroyed crops.
💠 On September 4, a hail storm in Novosibirsk, Russia, damaged many cars.
💠 During September, hail, sometimes of large size, affected European countries such as Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and others.
💠 On September 17, severe hail storms hit the Spanish province of Valencia. According to initial estimates, the loss amounted to more than 43 million euros.
💠 In South America, hail was recorded on September 17 in several departments in Uruguay.
💠 The next day, hail storms swept across the province of Rio Grande do Sul in neighboring Brazil.
💠 On September 23, record hailstones hit the municipality of Bagué. Some hailstones exceeded 10 centimeters in diameter.

VOLCANOES
🆘 In September saw increased activity of another Italian volcano - Stromboli, as well as volcanoes Kilauea in Hawaii, Taal in the Philippines, Shishaldin in Alaska, Villarrica in Chile and the most active volcano in Russia - Ebeko.
🆘 Campi Flegrei is preparing for a mega eruption. The tremors in the area of the supervolcano are getting stronger: the earthquake that occurred on September 27 with a magnitude of 4.2 was the largest in the last 40 years and was part of a swarm that began the day before. It's not just the country's residents who are in danger, but the whole of Europe, the whole world.
