Yes, this is actually what NASA scientists are doing to get humans in touch with potential aliens out there in the universe. When it comes down to how we will communicate with aliens, there's big controversy around this... is this a good idea to communicate with aliens? Is this a bad idea? Are we inviting negative attention to Earth where we could otherwise live peacefully without attention? Regardless, this is not the first time humans have attempted to communicate with aliens, for all we know they've already heard us.
