"The Lord brings poverty and gives wealth; He humbles and He exalts."

- 1 Samuel 2:7

Some might be confused as to why a video like this one is posted on a channel that promotes Christian values. It'll be a shock to some but gambling is NOT a sin. If one were to take the time to look up gambling; there wouldn't be one mention of gambling being a sinful act but instead, the opposite is true.

In the Old and New Testament, we see people in the Bible gambled. Any time you see "casting lots," that was a gambling game. The closest parallel to it would be drawing straws. Anyone making claims that a ban exists; when it comes to gambling; doesn't know the Bible well.

For the denominations that believe that gambling is a sin; they do so based on Scripture verses such as 1 Timothy 6:10; which basically states: "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." In doing so, there arises multiple problems in the implementation.

The association of gambling being a sin, due to the possibility of sinning; is quintessentially what the Pharisees did. This Jewish sect, that existed during Jesus' time; wasn't criticized by the Lord because they were heretical but rather they took God's Laws in the Torah (which is the first 5 books of the Old Testament) and made additional rules, so a person didn't break the Laws given by God.

These man-made rules; with the intent to have others avoid sinning by creating additional sins; wasn't seen by God as acceptable.

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You pay a tenth of mint, dill and cumin and yet you have neglected the more important matters of the law - justice, mercy and faithfulness. These things should have been done without neglecting the others. Blind guides! You strain out a gnat but gulp down a camel!"

- Matthew 23:23-24

Jesus' speaking of "gulping a camel;" before His death; the Old Testament Law, didn't permit a person to eat them. To do so, a person back then was sinning. In essence, Jesus was saying that these added rules, were itself a sin and that those pushing these ideas were spiritually blind.

It doesn't matter if the intentions were well meaning; that doesn't change that people can NOT manufacture sins. Unless something is mandated by God; a man-made sin; even if it's connected to the Bible; has no bearing with God.

On the other hand, those that create sins and also, those that push these ideas on others; there are a lot of things God does say concerning them.

"You must not add anything to what I command you or take anything away from it, so that you may keep the commands of the Lord your God I am giving you."

- Deuteronomy 4:2

"...if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, a curse be on him! As we have said before, I now say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, a curse be on him!"

- Galatians 1:8-9

"I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share of the tree of life and the holy city, which are written about in this book."

- Revelation 22:18-19

Those are just a few references concerning those that manufacture sins. Every Scriptural passage that speaks about false teachers; would be appropriately applied to these individuals or organizations.

In the Christian's lexicon; the term "Pharisee" or "legalistic," would apply to those that involve themselves with the creation or the promotion of man-made sins. It's important to note that the term Pharisee or legalistic has changed, due to the manipulation of cultural norms.

Though false teachings have always been part of Christian history; the largest impact of it; with both culture and the church, in Western society; occurred during the Age of Enlightenment (late 18th century - mid 19th centuries) and The Romantic Era (late 18th century - early 19th century).

Through the philosophical ideas that sprung from these periods; a form of Neo-Gnosticism would merge within the church. This would cause the birth of denominations such as the Congregational Christian Churches and the United Church of Christ but also influence and effect traditional, established churches.

During the 1800s, Germany had become the bastion of the new theological mindset and many who aspired for "spiritual office," went there to earn their degree. In a twisted form of irony; Martin Luther's breakaway from the Catholic Church and the Protestant Reformation, had occurred within that nation; several centuries earlier.

Unlike traditional Protestant ideology, this Neo-Gnosticism takes the position that science, cultural relativism, rational thinking and personal experience; is the guide to true Christian faith and not the complete acceptance and blind obedience to the Bible; which they consider idolatrous.

This distinction between the traditional Christian perspective and Neo-Gnostic one; would create the same type of categorization that exists in politics. Traditional Christian theology is classified as "right wing" or "conservative." The Neo-Gnostic are "left wing," "liberal" or "progressive."

Europe was the hardest hit by liberal Christianity. In America, it wasn't as effective. Many American Christians viewed left wing theology as heretical. Unfortunately, it did impact many in the black community, as those were the largest group in America to send future ministers to Germany.

By the 1960s, cracks in the dam started to emerge. With the start of the "culture wars," the fight to change traditional cultural values, also made its way into churches. Which would alter long held Biblical values. Some of those were obvious, while others subtle.

One of those, in the field of fire: Pharisees or legalism. As covered in the earlier part of this blog, Pharisees or being legalistic, has traditionally meant one who creates, pushes or lives by man-made rules. Liberal Christians have changed the meaning to mean anyone who lives by any rules; God made or otherwise. In their minds, nothing is absolute but relative. Even God changes and so His standards changes with the differing of time.

They've also extended this concept to engross any type of corrections within a religious context. The fashion in which, this was done by the left's "unBiblical" campaign, is found in 1 Corinthians 13. This is the famous love chapter. What is often is cited in their argument:

"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge and if I have a faith that can move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing."

- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

The leftist Christians usage of this Scripture; the LGBTQ pedaling of the idea that "love is love," best encapsulates what's being sold. If they actually took the Bible seriously, in verse 6:

"Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth."

This would be a cornerstone for anyone trying to manipulate a person into the false narrative that's been created by these false teachers. In addition, by simply looking up all 22 verses in the Bible, concerning lawless and the 12 verses of lawlessness; one can clearly see that this transformation of Pharisees, legalism, and love; completely shatters this deception.

"Therefore, just as the weeds are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out His angels and they will gather from His kingdom all who cause sin and those guilty of lawlessness. They will throw them into the blazing furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

- Matthew 13:40-42

There is no ambiguity with what Jesus is saying but for those who aren't traditional Christians; they merely see this and every other Passage in the Bible as being symbolic. As true with those who are part of cults; the only reason those on the left bother with the Bible, so as to get new converts. Even when conversion doesn't occur; the stopping or hindrance of Biblical practice; is also considered a win.

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."

- 2 Timothy 3:16-17

That's one of many Bible Passages that illustrate how it is the duty of a Christian to correct fellow believers. To call someone a Pharisee or legalistic because they are taking such action; those applying that label; are the ones going against the Bible.

A liberal Christian will say a person has to correct a person out of love. This is a true point but the problem with the argument; there's no way of knowing what's going on within a person or what that person's motivation happens to be; when they are correcting someone.

The added problem with this leftist position; they have a distorted view of love. Simply because a person doesn't approach an individual teary-eyed and apologetic, as they are correcting someone; doesn't mean that the motivation isn't via love.

The Bible does not provide a litmus test to prove an individual is correcting someone via love, nor is there a how-to, in terms of how to go about it. Here are a couple examples to show how meaningless the argument is: 2 Samuel 12:1-15 and John 2:13-17.

Progressive Christians pursuit of the changing of definitions such as Pharisee and legalism; as well as other aspects of traditional Christianity; such as love and judging; all allows a set-up for the camel to get into the tent. This is how you have people who are Christians and see the entire trans issue as not being a thing.

Getting back to the issue of gambling...the same fashion in which there's no way for someone to know if another individual is correcting a person, with love being the motivation; there's no way for a person to know if someone gambling because they love money.

A person is very naive to believe that gambling is solely done because of the aspirations of gaining money. Anyone familiar with video games, would be familiar with the various casino games that exist. With the exception of the online games, where you are actually putting in real money, to play at a virtual casino or engage in online betting; the rest are only designed to gain electronic points and a display when a person wins but there's no real money being used.

There are other people who play gambling games where food (most oftentimes junk food) is used as "currency." In both instances, this illustrates the ridiculous position of any type of ban on gambling.

The Bible does not provide a litmus test as to someone loving money; where those that are gambling, are sinning. To further show how irrational this type of thinking is. If one were to be intellectually honest, they need to be consistent with that position or they are nothing more than a hypocrite.

If it's a sin to gamble because of the love of money being an issue, then what about having a job? People work because it's fun? Don't people work for (fill in the blank)? How can work be okay for those that love money? Shouldn't that be a ban for them too?

This is the nature of false teachings. Take some truth and use it to how the manipulator sees fit. As in the case of gambling, 1 Timothy 6:10 talks about the love of money. There's not one mention of gambling. For the small handful of Passage like it; there's not one mention of gambling anywhere; despite the entire time the Bible was written; part of the culture was to gamble.

One has to keep in mind that gambling was a form of recreation. There wasn't plenty of options. Paper wasn't cheap or easily procured...so reading a comic book was out and the technology didn't exist to play video games or watch any programs. There are of course people who were artistically inclined and their artwork has been discovered in caves or other ancient archeological sites. It's kind of a big fail on the Bible's part to not clearly spell out that gambling is a sin when so much of it was going on.

As pathetically sad this false teaching happens to be, what's worse is the spill over effect. There are some people who are so legalistic about gambling that they see investing as gambling and as such, sinful. The issue with that, Matthew 25:14-30 and then watch the video below.

https://rumble.com/v3noqkd-living-on-one-dollar.html

With the economy being the way it is and interest rates low as they are; keeping money in the bank, is the same as burning it. The reality is, one must asking themselves, "how is this not wasting resources, by simply letting things be idle?"

"A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance."

- John 10:10

False teachings always places a person in bondage. Those that are tricked into it; have to shoulder the lies that are attached with such beliefs and will rob people of the life that God has. This includes all the joys and blessings that would have been received if the deception wasn't part of it.

The video that's featured; that man wouldn't have gotten help with his financial problems, if he didn't play the lottery. The video linked below, his situation wouldn't have changed if he too hadn't played the lottery.

https://rumble.com/v4u8rwi-out-of-the-ashes.html

Obviously, both of these men didn't hold to this notion that gambling is a sin. Both men also prayed and those prayers were clearly answered. Those that choose to limit God, due to false teachings; the only thing that's done is the theft of the life that could be.

When it comes to positions of power and authority; there are always people who are drawn to it. The church isn't divinely protected from those that are seeking to dominate others. Both the Old and New Testament warn of both false prophets and teachers.

In Matthew 25:31-34, Jesus uses an illustration of Judgement Day, where He separates the sheep from the goats. The sheep are the true followers of God, while the goats are those that are part of the Christian faith but doesn't follow it. Best described from the Christian lexicon as "carnal," "mediocre" or "cultural" Christians; basically Christians in name only.

There's a different pictorial that Jesus and other New Testament writers use for those that are false prophets, false teachers, as well as those that aren't in an official church position but have some level of influence but drawing people away from Biblical teachings: wolves.

These three groups make up the "dark trinity." Individuals claiming to be followers of God but rather push people towards another gospel. As seen in Galatians 1:8-9, they are damned and the manner in which they are described: Matthew 7:15 and John 8:42-47; reveals their true nature and intent.

https://rumble.com/v41hzp5-the-silence-of-the-lambs.html

The video linked above, shows one type of deviant psychological make up, that's part of the "dark trinity;" which seeks to be part of churches. Other types of aberrant personalities: narcissist, sociopath, borderline personality disorder, god complex and Machiavellianism.

All of these pathologies have many similarities with one another but there does exist distinct differences that makes each of them novel. Since this isn't a psychological class, nor a white paper on criminal personalities; where observations for certain subjects are sought; for the sake of brevity, they'll all be classified as psychotic.

Those that possess a "normal" mental state, will not be able to understand that those that are part of the dark trinity, desire power over others. Having people live and behave in a fashion that these psychopaths desire, is what they live for.

Though the guise seems as though sharing of information or correcting; may all seem genuine but as true with not knowing the intentions of those that gamble; the same is true with those wanting to present their ideology with another person.

Those that are in the camp of normal, do not like conflict, confrontation or drama. The mental state of the dark trinity, they have absolutely no problems with it. This is why you can hear about people in ministry, within every strata that exist; engage in all sorts of criminal behavior, with no guilt.

This also includes the highest position with the Catholic Church: the Pope. Several have been murdered because they had inappropriate relationships with other men's wives. That position also has lots of blood on their hands, as they have been the driving force, which led to the execution of witches and Christian sects that didn't agree with their teachings.

Now it may seem as though the situation with gambling isn't a big deal but on the contrary, it is. The three Scriptures given earlier, concerning not adding to the Word of God; taking aside the clear point that doing so is a sin; when someone declares that something is a sin but it isn't in the Bible; they are putting themselves in the position of being God-like, for only God has the power and authority to make such decrees.

Those that permit this behavior, only enable these personalities to continue and do them unto others. To protect yourself from false teachings, the video that's linked below, is the most important one in the aid of not being lead a stray.

https://rumble.com/v4ioz05-cheers.html

Psychotics love playing the Holy Spirit but unless they can produce a clear cut statement; in the Bible, where they can prove a ban exists; then disregard anything they say. The average person won't desire to engage in corrective actions and so their approach will be uncomfortable.

Those that are psychotic, are a different breed. If you disagree with them; they will not let it go. Even if one can debate them successfully, they will try to push their point of view, no matter what. It might seem as though this is passion for the truth but if a person has disproven such ideas; what they are fighting for isn't Biblical truth but what the psychotic feels must be honored by others.

There is a flip side to this. When there's a situation where the Bible doesn't mandate a situation but an individual feels it's right for them; that isn't a sin.

"I have made a covenant with my eyes. How then could I look at a young woman?"

- Job 31:1

Though the Bible only addresses inappropriate sexual activity, Job wanted to honor God by taking an extra step to ensure that he didn't. These types of personal choices isn't sinful. Liberals falsely say it's being a Pharisee or legalistic but there's a difference from believing a man-made sin is a sin versus a personal choice so an individual can avoid sinning.

Sharing these types of decisions with others, isn't a sin either, nor does it qualifies a person as being a false teacher. Long as these personal choices aren't forced onto others or made to make others believe they aren't good Christians, if they don't do it their way.

Other issues to be aware of, when it comes to this situation of those pushing for man-made sins; any individual that's a parishioner trying to push a man-made sin; it one's duty to correct that person. If they do not listen; then the corrective action needs to be taken; as found in Matthew 18:15-17 & 1 Corinthians 5:1-13. If it ends up being that the church doesn't find this behavior a problem, leave that church. If the church leadership is preaching man-made sins, leave that church.

Though it's true that there are no perfect churches but that's in human flaws of everyone struggling to overcome this sinful nature but that's not an excuse to uphold Biblical standards. When it comes to any church that promotes any false teachings, this is what the Bible says:

"Many deceivers have gone out into the world; they do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch yourselves so that you don't lose what we have worked for but that you may receive a full reward. Anyone who does not remain in Christ's teaching but goes beyond it does not have God. The one who remains in that teaching, this one has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your home and do not greet him; for the one who greets him shares in his evil works."

- 2 John v. 7-11

That's just one of several Bible verses addressing false teachers. With all of them, they all say to separate one's self from such individuals and that they are damned. To do anything less, would be in complete disregard with what God has spoken.
