Check out how smooth this criminal is! A video shot by a store clerk from behind the counter with his mobile phone shows just how frightened these people were to confront the maniac! Watch as he casually strolls into a store called Greggs in South Shields, Tyne and Wear. He looks like he is just perusing the shelves, looking for nothing in particular, when he stops at the chip display. He looks around, finds what he likes, which by the way is a bag of salt and vinegar crisps, picks it right off the shelf and goes walking out!

The person who recorded the footage just a few days ago, 41-year-old customer Gordon Lindsay, said that the bird appeared like it knew exactly what it was doing and where it was going. The clerk wasn’t paying too much attention, so by the time she turned to make Gordon a coffee, the seagull took the opportunity to lift and run. The bird knew how the sliding doors work and everything!

According to other business owners, the seagulls in Shields have become quite the criminals; one even became famous 10 years ago, when it was caught on camera walking out of a store with a bag of Doritos in its beak.
