300 Billion Dollars of Russian Assets to be Given to Ukraine! Putin's Nightmare!

In the aftermath of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the impact of global sanctions against Russia is intensifying. In the meantime, the United States and its European partners are considering the use of nearly $300 billion in frozen Russian assets for the reconstruction of Ukraine. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said:
"These frozen assets, in my view, you broke it, you bought it. So the Russians broke it, they should pay for it. One way to do that would be to use these assets. We have to make sure that there is a legal basis to do that. And as I said, because most of the assets are in Europe, the Europeans have to be convinced that there is a basis for doing that."
Blinken put the amount of frozen assets at US$300 billion. He also pointed out that if Russia's invasion of Ukraine goes unpunished, it could be perceived as a signal encouraging aggression around the world. "This is opening Pandora's box of conflict. And in such a world, a world of conflict, a world of aggression, that would not be good for anybody," he said.
Blinken warned that the US believes it will always be drawn into a conflict, which could lead to much higher costs than supporting Ukraine. He also emphasized that there are 50 countries supporting Ukraine.
