what is an alcoholic (this is an outdated word)

What is an alcoholic in the first place? In my opinion, this is an outdated term that could be better... for a few reasons. I'm very familiar with what alcoholism is and looks like, and I discuss my own opinions in this video only. That said, I think the way that society treats alcohol and the term "alcoholic" is incredibly outdated and detrimental to society for many different reasons that I go into in this video.
