SriMan Narayan 34th annual festival (Rairangpur) 21/12/2010

Bol Shri Satyanarayanji Maharaj ki..... Jai !!!! Bol Shri LaxmiNarayanji Maharaj ki....... Jai !!!!! This ShriMan Narayanji Puja is been held every year for 34 years now and I am proud to participate in this rare and continuous ceremony this year. Rairangpur is very chilling around this time but the festivity begins as early as 5 in the morning with a procession known as PRABHAT PHERI (A group is continuously performing it every day since 34 years now) i.e. walking around the town enchanting the Aarti of Shri Hari Vishnu and different Bhajans. Then a HAWAN / YAGNYA is organized by Smt Satyabhama Devi and Sri BanwariLalji Agrawal (my Naniji and Nanaji), which starts from around 9.30AM and goes on till 4PM. People in very large number participate in this divine ritual every year and get blessed and all the BHAKTAs get PRASAD after the HAWAN is over. The entire atmosphere feels very SACRED due to lots of MANTRAs and BHAJANs. And the best part of this ceremony is that the entire crowd feels like, we belong to a single family that is HUMINTY......
