Erie County Health Commissioner Dr. Gale Burstein shares back-to-school tips. Dr. Gale tells us about backpack safety. If you child is walking to school, plot a safe route and do practice runs if it is the first time they are walking to school. Remind them about stranger danger. If your child is taking the don’t approach the bus until it is fully stopped. If you have to cross the street to board the bus, cross in front of the bus and look both ways before crossing the street. For more information you can also go to erie.gov/health or healthychildren.org.
