Baldur's Gate 3: Ohana Chou'un Story Chapter Forty

In a malevolent alliance, the Dark Urge orchestrated a nefarious plot alongside two formidable compatriots, Lord Enver Gortash and Ketheric Thorm, both Chosen of the Dead Three. Their sinister aim: to seize dominion over the Sword Coast in the hallowed names of their vengeful gods. While this sinister trio toiled in the shadows, another player, Orin, awaited her opportune moment to make her bid for power and secure the favor of Bhaal, the deity of murder, for herself.

With calculated precision, the trio subjugated an elder brain hidden beneath Baldur's Gate, employing the ominous Crown of Karsus to bend it to their will. Concurrently, they propagated the cult of the Absolute, a religious movement designed to further their sinister agenda. However, in a shocking twist, Orin turned on her superior, Lord Enver Gortash, plunging a knife into his skull and implanting a modified illithid tadpole into his mind. Her chilling declaration echoed in the wake of her treacherous act: her grandfather had once ruled this city, and Gortash had stolen it. With this, she assumed the mantle of Bhaal's Chosen.

However, Orin's ascension proved tumultuous, marked by a lack of discipline. Her unchecked spree of wanton violence against the innocent citizens of Baldur's Gate cast a dark shadow over her reign.

Amidst this backdrop of intrigue and treachery, an unexpected player emerges. Orpheus, the Githyanki prince and the rightful ruler of his people, long thought dead due to the machinations of Kith'rak Voss, is imprisoned within the Astral Prism. The Emperor, recognizing the grave threat posed by the Absolute's encroaching power, implores our aid in maintaining Orpheus's captivity and safeguarding him from the malevolent forces that seek to harness his influence.

Crafted under the masterful hand of Larian Studios, Baldur's Gate III emerges as a luminous gem in the realm of role-playing video games. It finds its roots as the third cornerstone of the Baldur's Gate series, an illustrious lineage nurtured by the hallowed traditions of the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing system. A partial version of the game was released in early access format for macOS, Windows, and the Stadia streaming service, on 6 October 2020. The game remained in early access until its full release on Windows on 3 August 2023. macOS and PlayStation 5 versions are scheduled for 6 September 2023, and an Xbox Series X/S port in 2024.
