Hope

[Reflective & Contemplative Poem Collection] -
Hope seems to be another one of those internal journeys … of which there are many … and this poem explores its aspects and the idea of how we can nurture and support such a positive outlook in our lives. I hope it is of some benefit to each and all as we proceed!

This poem is part of the collection that I refer to as 'Reflective & Contemplative’ poems which contain ‘an Analytical and Pensive blend of observational ditties and experiences’.

Poem Wording:-

Hope

‘Hope’ as the phrase goes ‘Springs Eternal’ …
and for this, the journey starts with the internal.

Your ‘spirit’, your ‘vibe’, your ‘I’m alive’ -
they are the base foundation.

Your ‘attitude’, your ‘gratitude’,
your ‘prayerful beatitudes’ -
can form your boundary and fence.

Your ‘values’, your ‘practices’, your ‘character’ –
they surely the structure will build.

Your ‘eyes’ reflect the bright without –
as windows, they reflect the light – sunlight.

But the light inside …
Outward shone …
is HOPE.

And with sister FAITH and brother TRUST,
they form a trio, like the sacred trinity of
The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
One for all, and all for one!
Giving GRACE divine, essential as all time,
for One in all.

So how do you fill your ‘eternal stream’,
with a natural optimism?
Like an internal idea or notion?
Make optimism natural – with a little devotion ….
So take the time to pause and dream!

The Aboriginal peoples pause in
the day for their ‘dreamtime’ …..
where they ‘commune’ with spirit.
A practice with … ah so much merit.

Despair is the opposite of hope
So – drop it. Be, as they say …dope.
Do not mope …. Keep up your hope!

Is fear the opposite of faith?
and if so … don’t doubt –
keep your certainty about.
Faith – not falsity, nor betrayal, which are nowt!
But belief and loyalty - not being fickle!

Trust has no scepticism and
sometimes this is hard,
as we have to delegate
the timing or answers to God

Excessive pride can keep us
away from our destinations.
Yet confidence within hope, faith and trust -
that is the must!

Hope is the conduit for miracles.
It is, yes ‘the source’ where our
God ‘eternal’ springs forth!
