E5 MPLS: Binary Choices

Most Jiu-Jitsu decisions could be narrowed down to a couple of simple choices. Good/Bad, Tighter/Looser, Better/Worse, Comfortable/Uncomfortable, Pleasure or Pain. I call this a Binary Choice. In this video we not only discuss the idea of decisions but more simply, the idea of Binary Choices. If you look at moment to moment decisions thru this lens it allows you to see the simplicity of Jiu-Jitsu and the illusion of choice. Most problems come down to Binary Choices.

Jiu-Jitsu is perceived as a very complex martial art. The options seem limitless in the possibilities appear endless. In reality choices in Jiu-Jitsu are Binary. Things either get better or worse, tighter or looser, easier or harder. When you simplify your decisions based on the simple premise of pleasure or pain the choices become more simplified. In this video I discuss the importance of good decisions and the Binary nature of the art of Jiu-Jitsu itself.
