What Do You Do When You Meet a Bear On The Trail? #shorts

Ever come face to face with a bear?

Yeah, me neither. But today I was about 40-50 yards away from a nice little black bear (100-150 lbs?) that was likely as surprised I came around the corner as I was.

We stared at each other for a second or two, then I was able to get a quick picture and a short video of him before he bolted down the hill.

And yes, I went the opposite direction!

He may have been relatively small compared to most, but pound for pound most animals can rip up a human pretty good so I wasn't at all interested in learning about how hungry or aggressive this guy was.

And with it being Fall and the bears eating as much as possible before the go into hibernation I would make a pretty nice snack for him!
