Good News! My Governor, Maura Healey, Has Done A Great Thing. She Signed A Sweeping Tax Cut Package.

As someone born and raised in Massachusetts, I am proud to report that long overdue tax cuts have been signed into law by the Governor here; Maura Healey. While she is a Democrat, she did something that hardly any other Democrat has done or would do, especially from a blue state, she has finally signed into law a sweeping tax relief package for Massachusetts, that includes cutting the capital gains tax, the estate tax and helps reduce wasteful spending, helps Massachusetts become more competitive and will over the long run result in more tax money go back into the pockets of hard working Bay Staters, like myself. Despite several disagreements I have had with Governor Healey; whether it is on migration, guns, her paling around with other Democrats, this is a big W for Maura Healey and a job well done. Kudos to her and her administration for doing this. I rarely say this about any elected officials; given how I hate 99% of them, but Maura Healey seems to be a rare exemption. Charlie Baker, Governor from 2015-2023, was and will forever be my favorite and was surely the best Governor Massachusetts has ever had, but Maura Healey deserves credit for this. Nice work Beacon Hill (for a change).
