CAD/CAM PLANNING OF A TWO-PIECE ROOT-ANALOG CERAMIC DENTAL IMPLANT WITH ROOT EXTENSION***.

This video shows the CAD/CAM planning of a root analog dental implant (RAI), which is a custom medical device (CMD) constructed from a 3D X-ray (CT/CBCT), for the replacement of the left central incisor after failed apicoectomy.

This two-piece implant with root extension greatly expands the indication of RAI's, allowing root tip resected and periodontally damaged teeth to be replaced with a BioImplant.

Interestingly, we have not heard a single scientifically based comment on CMD's in implant dentistry in over 16 years.
