The Iroquois Confederacy( A collection of Native American Tribes), particularly the Seneca Tribe, sought to expand their territory and control of the fur trade, leading to brutal campaigns against neighboring tribes, including the Wyandot. These campaigns involved raids, sieges, and attacks that devastated Wyandot villages and led to the dispersal and fragmentation of the Wyandot people. Many were killed, captured, or forced to flee their ancestral lands. The destruction of the Wyandot was a tragedy, as their unique way of life, traditions, and language faced near-annihilation.
