In 2019, I was working as a patrol officer. In addition to answering calls for service, I had an interest in arresting drug dealers. One day, I’m visiting an overdose patient in the hospital, and he tells me that drug dealers advertise on the internet. So, the next day I’m browsing OfferUp, and sure enough, people are selling drugs. I find an ad for a dealer selling acid and ask him to meet me at a hotel. He agrees, sees me, and takes off running. After a short foot chase, I caught and arrested him. Check out this one-of-a-kind legal breakdown of a patrol officer's own body cam footage.
