Homes of journalists at India news site critical of government raided

In New Delhi, the police have conducted searches at the residences of well-known journalists associated with a left-leaning news organization recognized for its critical examination of the Indian government.

This action has been widely condemned by media organizations as an assault on press freedoms.

On Tuesday, Delhi police revealed in a brief statement that they had questioned 46 individuals and confiscated digital devices and documents for scrutiny as part of an investigation conducted under an anti-terror law, CNN reported.
