I lost my only child to Fentanyl poisoning in 2019. Heaven Leigh Nelson, she was my world. After losing her I remember feeling so alone as if I were the only person that had buried a child because of this weapon of mass destruction. I founded Forgotten Victims of North Carolina. We now have 8 chapters across the state. We give support to these families, we fight for justice for our murdered children, we fight to change laws for stiffer penalties for those dealing death and to ensure every death has a proper investigation.  I also am a moderator for Lost Voices Of Fentanyl the largest fentanyl fighting group in the country with 30,000 members. We just hosted the Dead Speak Rally march to the Whitehouse. I am also moderator for North Carolina Chapter Drug Induced Homicide. And I am raising my 7 yr old grandson. So my plate is pretty full. But I will not stop until we put an end to Fentanyl poisoning in this country. 107,000 American's lost their lives to illicit drugs in 2022. 77,530 of those we're Fentanyl poisoning's. No I can't stand by and do nothing. My only child is gone. It's about saving other's. - Patricia Drewes
