💥 ENDANGERED💥 SAVE this Species! 🙌🏼 Grow Dendrobium munificum SAVE it from Extinction #ninjaorchids

This orchid is also called Inobulbon munificum and it is endemic to New Caledonia in the Pacific, and only found on the Island of Grand Terre! There is no other place where this dendrobium munificum grows, and it is endangered. Not just because of climate change, with wild fires and unseasonaly dry conditions, but also rodents snack on this orchid and of course, human intervention in the form of taking orchids from the wild play a factor. Dendrobium munificum arrived in my collection in 2018 as a seedling and finally it bloomed for the first time with an amazing display. I can attest to the species not being able to pollinate fast enough because of rodents taking out the blooms very quickly. If it wasn't a rodent, then possibly a grasshopper because within one week of the spike fully opened, it took 48 hrs for all the blooms to have been nibbled off. Which is super unfortunate!
