The Fragrance of the Anointing: Christ Swallowing Up Our Mortality

This teaching emphasizes the importance of fearing God, recognizing the present world system as evil, and groaning for deliverance from its bondage of corruption. It explains how we must die to the tree of knowledge of good and evil in order to allow the oil of Christ to flow through us. Dying to self allows Christ's life to be revealed in our mortal bodies. We must judge ourselves and go through inward crucifixion daily, shedding everything God hates while loving what He loves. This suffering presses out the oil that releases the fragrance of Christ. The summons is to enter the full revelation of Jesus by pursuing intimate relationship above ministry success or visibility. Our heart cry should be for the appearance of Christ's life to swallow up our mortal frames.
