October Lull Is A Myth! Tagged Out On My Target Buck!

BB8, short for Baby Brow 8, earned his name as a 2.5 year old clean 8pt with small brows. Over the years he kept the same frame and short brow tines until he turned 5.5 when he grew G4s on both sides. Although he was fairly regular during the early season, conditions never did line up to get in close to the area he called home. When October rolled around, I knew that the first cold front that hit, we would want to be in a tree overlooking the foodplot that we set up just for him. Regardless of it being the "October Lull", the first deer we laid eyes on as the sun began to fade was BB8. He slowly made his way towards the plot to investigate a younger buck making a scrape and the rest is history!
