BeetleJuice Kenner Action Figures Stop Motion Compilation (2016)

So I made these clips in 2016 using my old Kenner BeetleJuice action figures. These are some of my first stop motion animation attempts. I used my Iphone 6, Stop Motion Studio, a zoom mic that attaches to a smartphone and I think my Canon Rebel T5 that I had for a little while.
I edited the clips in Imovie. The animation is cringey. The camera didn’t stay still. There is light flicker. The action figures have very few points of articulation and therefore little movement. Worst of all there is little or no story. Obviously I took a lot of inspiration from Robot Chicken. I changed the audio a little because I might or might not have used some copyrighted sounds when I made these clips all those years ago.
I got the sound effects in this updated video from freesound.org in addition to stock audio available in Final Cut Pro and Imovie. I made the mouth animation using black Sculpey and hand drawn mouths made with pieces of paper that I stuck on to the action figures using tac. These were made around the time that I was experimenting with different colored lights, and you’ll see a little bit of that in this animation. Lastly I added some Robot Chicken tv static transitions that were not in the original clips. I figure that might make this video make some sense.
