In all likelihood, you've used a cartridge press like this before. But did you know that you have been using it wrong all your life? Why this is so and how to do it correctly, I'll show you in this video.

Because to open a silicone cartridge, you have surely opened the tip with scissors or a knife, right? Most cartridge presses have a small hole through which you can open them.

And you probably also know that the content in the cartridge hardens quickly and can no longer be used later. But I have an ingenious bonus trick for you.

Close the cartridge with some hot glue. This way you get it completely closed and the silicone doesn't harden anymore. When you need it later, just remove the hot glue and it will run out again.

Be sure to try these ingenious tricks the next time you use a silicone cartridge.
