Well Terry thanks for the donation and topic. One of the greatest thing the founding fathers did was setup the system where each state is sovereign for the most part. That forces competition between states and people can go from a bad state to a good one depending on the how tragical it gets. As for the two issues you mentioned they are obviously ideological. To those on the right no-fault divorce threatens family formation. Those on the right reproduce their value system by actually having children and raising them. Those on the left reproduce through immigration and by destroying families and then indoctrinating the young into their woke value system. The left is getting desperate to indoctrinate your children because they aren't having any. That's why you're seeing drag queen story time in schools. The left is converting many people in the middle but those with values on the right are starting to lean further to the right as a whole because the left has already picked off the easy targets. So of course red states are becoming increasingly conservative and to protect themselves from an increasingly aggressive left they have to get rid of things like no fault divorce, abortion, protecting men's rights by jailing women for paternity fraud. These things are all part of a greater trend. Those with right leaning values are going to harden them and those on the left in their desperation are going to harden theirs. They won't meet in the middle but instead draw a line in the middle of the sand. I made a video covering a lot of similar adjacent issues. A comparing the breakup of Yugoslavia to what is going on in America right now. I figured out that usually when a country breaks up one side decides to leave and the other side won't let it for whatever reason. Think of the US south deciding to succeed and the North fighting to prevent it. Right now, now pun intended the right leaning conservative states won't leave because they are receiving transfer payments from the blue states. The left requires energy and agricultural goods from the right while they
themselves produce high end finished goods or big tech and the fire sector services these days, financial products, insurance and real estate which are mostly in the left leaning north eastern states. But what happens if big tech and finance move to the red states? Then you could see the red states succeed from the left and right coasts.
