Locals in and around Oxford took to social media to share photographs and videos of the fireball lighting up the sky at around 7.20pm on Monday, October 2, 2023.
Emergency services were seen rushing to the scene near Yarnton at Severn Trent Green Power, a waste management company, as some locals temporarily lost power.
Three of five tanks at the plant were damaged in the fire, according to the authorities.
