Let's break this down. The "background noise" was coming from an apartment above. There is about 12 feet of open air between this cat ball and the ceiling, so this means it's about 14-15 feet away from the vibrations that would be emanating from the stereo. And, if the cat ball is triggered by the vibrations of the annoying stereo above wouldn't they continue? Why would the cat ball stop flashing if the vibration causing it to flash did not stop. There was no vibration or activity from below, but the carpet should also cushion some of this potential affect if there was any. So, I come into the room, observe the ball flashing, and it stops? But this can be explained entirely by science, correct?
