But the silverback, the leader and protector of the group, instantly catches wind of the altercation and moves in with terrifying speed. He knows exactly who started the fight, and with his incredible strength, he pins the aggressive gorilla down. Notice that he's not trying to hurt the other gorilla but rather calm it down, de-escalating the situation.
