LIVE: US House considers additional Ukraine aid as a motion to vacate the speaker chair is expected

The United States House of Representatives will consider a bill for additional aid to Ukraine today in their fight against the Russian invasion of the country. At the same time a motion to vacate the Speakers Chair is expected from members of the far right of the Republican Party. It is unclear on how other Republicans or Democrats will vote on such a motion.

Under House rules a motion to vacate must be considered, debated and voted on before any other business can be considered. If a motion to vacate is successful the House would need to pick a new Speaker before they could conduct normal business.
