Question: In Tau, the code/behavior of the system, will be defined/modified by it’s users. Are there scenarios by which users/entities can use this specific feature to attack the system or project by insertion of multiple bad actors in congruence with each other? (Especially when the system is still in it’s infancy with fewer supporters.) Are there good ways of mitigating such risks?
Answer: Indeed, in Tau our main effort is to come up with a setting that can handle such a case, this is all about the law of changing the law. So if you want to say that any new version of the program, will have to meet certain specifications, and sometimes they put it in the example of the laws of robotics. The three laws of robotics by Asimov, we want to have a fourth law that says that any software update of the robot will also have to admit the laws of robotics and that’s something that surprisingly or not, current logic and computer science don’t know how to support. And many will even tell you that it is impossible, but it is our main effort and success. We already did it, to support such statements.
