New research shows eating a low-fat diet could raise your risk of an early death. Canadian researchers tracked the eating patterns of more than 100,000 adults and found that those who ate high levels of fats cut their risk of death by more than 20 percent. People who cut back on fats ending up filling up on things like bread, pasta and rice. Researchers say while fruits and vegetables are also good for you, you only need 3-4 servings a day for optimal health.
