Brendon and I head up to Duncans Mills on the Russian River to search the yard of a house built in 1880. We find very hard, dry and rocky dirt with a few treasures hidden below the surface including a 200 year old coin and 2 coins that are even older! Expect the unexpected! The Chinese have a long and storied history here in Northern California. From helping to build the Transcontinental Railroad and the Golden Gate Bridge to working in the mines throughout California and the lumber camps of the Redwood Empire, they helped build Calfornia! And at the Duncan House, we find evidence of their presence in this old lumber company town.
