Through a combination of hiking, mountain running, and trail running, I attempted to cover the same amount of vertical feet as Mount Everest. I also wanted to do all of my other training, so that means lifting weights, kilometer repeats on the track, and some stationary biking. This resulted in a tough week of training and a mental battle to keep going, even when I was tired. This challenge was taken on in Chamonix Mont-Blanc, so I frequented the trails near me and explored the French Alps.
