5k training continues in preparation for the Carlsbad 5000. Today I ran "practice PRs" in both the 1600 and the 400, which was exciting. Of course, PRs really only matter if I hit them when it counts, but workouts like this make catching positive momentum and building confidence possible. I plan to carry that momentum and confidence into my next race and put it to good use! In between the 5k pace mile and the all-out 400, I did some 1k threshold repeats.
