New York City drenched by heavy rains and flooding

New York Governor Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency for New York City as the deluge of rain flooded city streets and disrupted public transportation. The MTA announced that there will be "extremely limited subway service" available due to the flooding. The rainfall could become one of the wettest days in the city's history since Hurricane Ida.
