Welcome to another episode of Can Do Conversations with Cheryl and CJ Williams! Now, back to the topic at hand. We all need rest and sleep, but how much do we really need? Some say 8 or 9 hours, but Cheryl has a theory - she believes it's less than that. She shares her own experience of feeling worse when she sleeps too much and believes that the amount of sleep you need varies from person to person and from season to season in life.
CJ jumps in with some sleep science experiments, suggesting that it's important to find what works for you. It could depend on factors such as your happiness, workload, and support system. The main point is that how you start your day sets the tone, and if you wake up with negative thoughts or feeling groggy, it can impact the rest of your day.
Cheryl encourages positive self-talk before bedtime, suggesting that the thoughts you have while falling asleep can influence your mindset for the next day. So instead of expecting to be tired and groggy, focus on feeling energized and renewed.
But hey, we're not here to tell you how many hours of sleep you should get. No, no. We're all about you figuring out what works best for you. Experiment, play with different sleep patterns, and see how you feel. And don't forget to plan your sleep schedule by determining a consistent bedtime.
