Believe in Science

Science is disproof of false truths.

Francis Bacon was the great exponent of this idea.

However, it seems his lessons have been lost over 500 years.

Science has become trapped with the belief in a false assumption.

Perhaps because nobody dare face up to the possibility that a mistake may have been made and our current model of the universe might be wrong.

No scientist has the will to disprove an alternative interpretation of observation,

Because, it seems, nobody has the principles to consider changing their mind based on new evidence.

Old beliefs will do.

They make the system of academic authority we have built work, and pay those that uphold it handsomely.

And all the rest of us suffer as a result.
