Dieng Plateau, Country Above the Clouds

Dieng Plateau or Dieng plateau, and also known as the Land Above the Clouds, is one of the most famous historical sites in Indonesia. This plain is no longer foreign to the Indonesian people, because it is known for its beautiful natural charm on the island of Java which is surrounded by green mountains and expanses of clouds. Apart from having amazing natural beauty, Dieng also has many interesting geological and historical tourist attractions to visit. Several tourist attractions in Dieng, namely the crater, lake and Hindu temple complex, are able to attract tourists both from within and outside the country to come to visit again. The Dieng Plateau can be accessed via several routes. This route is via Banjarnegara, Batang and Wonosobo. However, among these routes, the most effective and efficient is via Wonosobo. The distance between the Dieng Plateau and the government center of Wonosobo is 26 km, which can be traversed by motorbike, four-wheeled vehicle and micro bus. The road to the Dieng Plateau cannot be traversed using large buses. This is because the road to Dieng is very narrow with winding and uphill terrain.
