The Corporation — Part Three

My mother would have been 82 today. Sadly she died on August 3rd 2012 having developed an aggressive form of cancer. The cancer, we are 99% certain, was the result of prolonged exposure to a weed killer called Roundup, made by the Monsanto corporation (now owned by Bayer).

There have been hundreds of thousands of lawsuits against Monsanto / Bayer from people who developed cancer as a result of exposure to Roundup. They’ve already given out $11 billion in settlements and there are 4000+ lawsuits currently pending.

Monsanto knew that Roundup could cause cancer but they refused to label it appropriately and they refused to recall it. They kept it on the market and hundreds of thousands of people got cancer as a result. Rather than do the right thing by their fellow human beings, they did what was most profitable for them.

This is just another example of a corporation placing profit above life. If we do nothing, it won’t be long before it is one of your loved ones, or even you, who is exposed to some deadly chemical or faulty product or contaminated water caused by corporate irresponsibility in the name of profit.

So please educate yourselves and let us think together how we can curb the power of these psychopathic institutions going into the future. We really need to.
