Manchester United suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. Mason Mount and Erik ten Hag spoke to the media after the match to reflect on the result.

Mount, who was one of United's better players on the day, said that the team was "disappointed" with the outcome, but that they would learn from their mistakes and move on.

"We created a lot of chances today, but we just couldn't put them away," Mount said. "We need to be more clinical in front of goal if we want to win games. But we're still a work in progress, and we're learning from our mistakes. We'll be back stronger next week."

Ten Hag echoed Mount's sentiments, saying that the team was "disappointed" with the result, but that they would continue to work hard and improve.

"We had a lot of possession and created a lot of chances today," ten Hag said. "But we didn't take them, and that's why we lost. We need to be more clinical in front of goal. But I'm confident that we will improve over time."
