NO PAIN NO GAIN
The Military Press, also known as the Overhead Press, is a fantastic exercise for building the deltoid muscle. It also indirectly targets the other muscles of the shoulder, your triceps, and your core1.
Here are some key points to remember:
You can perform this exercise either standing or seated2.
Engage your core throughout the exercise1.
You can use different types of equipment like dumbbells or an EZ barbell1.
Avoid using the Smith Machine as it forces you into an unnatural movement1.
Using free weights adds an extra element to the workout because you have to stabilize the weight. This keeps all the muscles engaged and really works your shoulders1.
